he series follows a young newlywed Chabad couple — Shmulik (Michael Moshonov) and Mushki (Nitzan Levartovsky) — who travel to Kathmandu, Nepal, to establish the first Chabad House there. They face the challenges of living in a foreign country, dealing with Israeli backpackers of all kinds, and navigating a completely different culture.
Alongside their story are other plotlines, including Giani (Liron Levo), a former Israeli who runs a guesthouse and tries to distance himself from his roots, and Yamit (Gal Gadot), who is searching for her missing sister in the East.
The series is largely based on real events and was inspired by the actual Chabad emissaries in Kathmandu (Chezki and Chani Lifshitz).
